Our safe yet stimulating environment is designed to be warm and empowering for young people to live in and flourish until they either transition to another placement or return to their family home. Located in a peaceful rural setting in Raunds, West Northamptonshire, Ashlea House features spacious communal areas on the ground floor, including a living room, quiet de-escalation/therapy room, kitchen and dining area, conservatory with a games area and reading corner, toilet and laundry facilities, and a staff area. The large, comfortable communal areas open into the conservatory, which offers views of the garden. Our young people have access to a TV and a variety of games. The bright and airy conservatory also provides table games, a reading corner, and a games corner.

Ethos

At Ashlea House, we recognize that each child is a unique individual and, as such, we adopt a person-centered approach to meeting their care needs. Every child and young person will have a personal positive behavior support (PBS) care plan that sets goals for their development. We work together with our young people and the professional team around them to co-produce these PBS care plans.
One of our key focuses is building resilience in our young people when facing new experiences. We believe in a resilience-based approach to practice, defining resilience as the ability to bounce back from stress and adversity and take on new challenges, ultimately leading to better outcomes (adapted from Pearson & Hall, 2006).
At Ashlea House, we are committed to providing a nurturing and empowering environment where each child and young person can thrive and achieve their full potential.
